Gauge 1 - 10mm Scale - Scratch-built “Peak” - Radio Controlled.

Here we have a very nice example of a gauge 1 - 10mm scale “Peak” diesel locomotive named “Scarfell Pike”. Fitted with radio control, and in BR Green livery.

Most examples of this models have been built from the Wagon & Carriage works lots, this example has been scratch built to a very high level.

The body has been constructed completely from metal, and the builder has been able to get the cab am noise of the loco correct, which is not easy.

The chassis has and bogies has been constructed to the same high standard, both bogies are powered by 2 ABC motors and then another set of wheels is chain driven. The batteries for the loco are from Strikalite and is 21.6volt and the radio control gear is from Peter Spoerer.(Please note the loco doesn’t have sound) The loco also come with a heavy duty wooden carry box.

The only thing that you will need is a charger, appropriate ones are available from Fosworks, the one needed is CHG-200 priced at £37.50. I can purchase one of these a costs to go with the loco.

The locos body is fully removable which makes maintenance easy.

The locos weighs nearly 6 kilos and I have been told is quite capable of pulling 16 coaches.
