Here we have an example of the excellent Aster 30th anniversary model, the Battle of Britain class light pacific. This version is in the BR livery named “Sir Winston Churchill”.

There are a number of reasons why this loco is special, apart from the fact in my opinion these are the best running Aster locos.

This example is factory built number 245 of 250 built, and it has never been out of the box it is still in the paper wrapping it came in from the factory, all the tools detail fittings and touch up paint are still factory sealed. So it is in my mind a collectors piece, though if the new owner wished to run it I have no doubt it would be a fine runner as these are known for being.

From a technical standpoint the loco features the following.

Meths Fired

Axle & Hand Pump

3 Cylinders

Gauge Glass in cab
